"We had a great stay. Property is beautiful. Short walk over to the River. House was perfect. Everything we needed. We had a nice weekend away with our pups. They loved the freedom of being off leash, well one anyway. The gravel road out to the house isnt terrible. We arrived at night so it was worse than it looked but being that it was February and it still was covered in snow added a little more. I would suggest 4WD / AWD only but not really required. Just be smart and take it slow. What i wouldnt suggest doing is going to Bickle Observation Tower in February. Lol. The " road " going up is pretty harrowing to say the least when its mostly ice/ sludge. Overall i would love to return in the summer and get proper use out of the river. If we do return, this place will be our first choice. "

"The pool was clean, and the hot tub was hot. Lots of kids in the pool, but plenty of room for everyone. Ate at the Lounge. Prices a little high, steak $44, but food was good. Very disappointed that the shuttle to and from the ski resort was not running. We'd planned to use that, but driving over was not far. Extra towels were easy to get at the front desk. Quiet. Saw a deer from the room window."

"The host is the best - very responsive and accommodating! The house is fabulous - huge open concept living/dining room & kitchen, two generous sized bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, and although we didn't need to use it, the house has a laundry room on the first floor. Excellent location in Parsons - right on the river! Close to Thomas, Davis, Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, & Dolly Sods."

"We really loved this rental! It was the perfect place to stretch out and relax after skiing at the nearby ski areas! The house had everything we needed, the furniture and beds were all comfortable, and the historic character of the house is quite charming. Hoping we can come back next year for a longer stay! Mostly I appreciated the communications from the host, James. Questions were promptly and thoroughly answered and he provided good info as we navigated an incoming snowstorm!"
