Main building, restaurant, food, and staff were good, but our rooms in the back building was not great. The room was very small and cheap. I was afraid to use the towel hanger as it was falling off the wall. Bathroom fan was very loud. There was some beeping alarm going off in the hall every 20 minutes. Outlet wouldn’t charge my laptop. We were in Iceland for 10 days and this was the worst room we had. Parked my was difficult for the back building. View was of the back side of the front building. Bed was against heater and under the window.

It is a nice hotel with a convenient location to visit Sktafell National Park. The room and bathroom are small.

Rooms had ample space, and staff was so friendly. They even notified us that the Auroras were abundant outside! Such a great perk! Hotel was very convenient to our glacial hike the next morning with Troll (4 minutes down the highway!). Would have loved the option for a quad room rather than than requiring 2 rooms and splitting the family up. Dinner was pricey, but veggie pasta and dessert were yummy!

I chose this hotel to stay because on the lost, they have the microwave, but when I got there. There was no microwave and the staff said, no microwave was used for a customer. That was really inconvenient for me. And the dinner price was too high.

Disappointing
There is no insulation at all I could hear people having showers, conversations etc. No TV in the bedroom, the room itself was satisfactory. Breakfast was ok. The service is really good (front desk and restaurant) though.

Located on the edge of a tiny village, this hotel has a swanky vibe. As with nearly all the hotels we stayed in Iceland, our room was in a long narrow annex. While decorated nicely, the walls in these annexes are not sound-proof, so neighbor noise can be a problem. Good shower and ample breakfast (included in room rate). We had dinner at the hotel as well: meal was delicious, but very small portions; friendly service.

This place is very cute! Perfect for an overnight stay close to the park and glaciers. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean! Breakfast was good too.

Location is close to the nearby glacier related activities making it a desirable option for an overnight stay. Room allotted was much smaller in size than anticipated making it very challenging to navigate within the room. Even the bathroom had extremely limited space for all of the bathroom related activities. Included breakfast had more than adequate items. There is no overnight staff at the hotel and no contact numbers were given, for any overnight problems that could potentially arise within the room. Staff was bland and did not go out of the way to be friendly or courteous. This hotel is a practical option to stay while visiting the nearby glaciers as there are not that many options in the vicinity but be prepared for smaller room and bland service.

Nice hotel in a village.
We had stayed for one night. The hotel is located in a village, very quiet place just off the highway. The hotel is nice & clean, the team is friendly. The breakfast was good, although they could offer more options. If you plan to have a dinner, consider contacting the hotel ahead of time. The restaurant is not very big, and I think that guests from other hotels might use it as well.

The rooms were small and somewhat Spartan, but they were clean (there was a funny smell in one of our bathrooms but we were so wiped out by the time we arrived that we didn't complain--we were only there one night). The food in the restaurant was really good--surprisingly so for a place so remote and with few other local options. Staff were very friendly, and the proximity to Diamond Beach was nice.

The one best thing about this hotel is obviously the location. Unbeatable location at the center between Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón. Staffs were extremely professional and very flexible and they would help you as it fits to your need. They also include breakfast and they were all good! You have to pay separately for dinner and it tasted good! I loved and enojyed the scent and various flavours this hotel gives. Only thing that bothered me was ventilation. Not sure if this is Icelandic cultural thing but hot moisture from the shower gets stuck in the room and it didn't help at all with air circulation. Except that everything else was perfect and it's worth every money!

Price quality is not bad, the dinner is quite expensive, just to say that it costs more to dinner there than a night in a hotel, the night was about 15,000 kr for two people and dinner 28,000 kr, crazy and the breakfast is quite poor

A great stay
Beautiful location, our window faced the mountains. The bedroom and the hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff is very friendly and attentive, the food is good (If you are having dinner at the hotel's restaurant, you just need to make a reservation). We booked a double room with private bathroom. Overall, it was exactly as advertised. Totally recommended.
