「Absolutely fantastic...could have stayed on and on! This was our third stay as a family at this superb house and we will be back again for sure. The house has plenty of space - more than enough for four adults and we wished that we had invited some friends too! As usual, Maria Cristina and Luca were the most wonderful and considerate hosts with excellent communication and, as expected, a the property was beautifully presented. We came back again without hesitation as this house is perfect...

「Die Casa Metato liegt oberhalb von Castiglione di Garfagnana, man hat einen fantastischen Blick auf das Tal und die umliegenden Berge. Das Haus selbst ist blitzsauber und mit allem, was man für die Selbstversorgung benötigt, ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam. Gabriele hat uns über WhatsApp mit sehr guten Ausflugstipps versorgt und seine Eltern haben uns überaus freundlich begrüßt. Das Haus wurde während unseres Aufenthalts geputzt, der Pool mehrfach gereinigt, aber immer mit...

「A really lovely place to stay. Lots of room, incredible vista from the seating area just outside the house and from the pool. The pool is cool even in hot weather. The owners are very helpful and made our stay easy. We would definitely go again.」

「Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit einem tollen Gastgeber! Die Mühle ist sehr gemütlich, der Pool ist großartig und wird regelmäßig gereinigt, Ausflüge wie zB nach Lucca sind von hier gut möglich. Der Ort ist nicht touristisch, bedeutet allerdings auch dass es wenig Gastronomie gibt - und vor allem kein TakeAway. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :-)」

「The cottage is wonderful for getting away from it all. Comfy bed, wifi, brilliant host, a varied selection of wildlife and animals! The location is really off the beaten track, the last road to the parking is very narrow with tight bends. We walked down the ancient path to the medieval bridge a couple of times, steep but great views. Very peaceful place, thoroughly recommended.」

「Wieder ein wundervoller Urlaub, toller Gastgeber wir kommen gerne wieder. 」

「Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt, das Haus mit Garten und Pool ist super schön. Es ist sehr ruhig, man kann sich gut erholen und wir hatten eine tolle Zeit! Da wir zum Beginn der Saison (Ende Mai) waren, waren das Haus und der Pool anfangs richtig kalt, aber mit dem sonnigen Wetter ist alles wärmer geworden. Die Anfahrt ist abenteuerlich aber auch besonders. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. 」

「We had a lovely holiday (family with 5 kids, age 11 to 23), peaceful and quiet and with the option to go out for a good meal nearby. Culture and swimming to be found with a car ride of 20 min, a beautiful mountain lake for swimming and nice little towns. Lucca and other more touristic places are a bit further, still good to do by car. The house and garden are spacious with all you need for a relaxing holiday. Nice addition is the separate part of the house which contains a bedroom, a bathroom...

「We spend 1 excellent week in this villa. The villa is well equipped. The swimming pool is large and the children enjoyed it. The villa is in a quiet village and is well located (about 20 min by car from Pisa or Lucca and 1h to Firenze). It was heart breaking to leave. 」
