「The hotel is new & the staff friendly. It’s a shame you have to pay for parking & get tea/coffee/water from outside the room. There was also a flashing light behind the TV, which impacted sleep.」

「Clean room, nice and quiet location, very friendly staff.」

「Fantastic place and a real welcome from the owners. Everything had been thought of and provided for. Highly recommended, would definitely stay again. 」

「Perfect for a overnight stop on our way down to Penzance, Roof was excellent as was the bed . A little noise from the busy main road but certainly not a problem. We would definitely stay here again and also dog friendly. Perfect!」

「The staff were very attentive and provided an excellent service」

「Lovely & very accommodating hosts & very good breakfasts. Room was spotless with king size bed, TV, sea views, plenty of storage space, compact ensuite, etc. The on site parking requires some care from drivers, especially if you have a large car. Town centre, pubs, railway station & beach all a short walk down the hill.」

「Lovely hotel by the sea We stayed at the Langstone Cliff hotel before a concert at Powderham castle. We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Lunch was lovely and the drinks were cold. Having parasol’s kept us cool on a very hot day. Our room was lovely, quite small but had everything we needed and the air con was an added bonus. The travel to Powderham was easy and relatively quick with only a short walk to the station and then about a 15 minute...

「A very disappointing stay. We booked a deluxe sea view (with large bay window) double or twin room via Expedia. On arrival at the hotel we did not get the room we booked and paid for. According to Expedia’s description and photographs the room we were given was a STANDARD double room for SINGLE occupancy. As the hotel was fully booked we had to tolerate this very small room with four steps up to the bathroom and really not enough room for two people. The room in no way bore any resemblance to...

「Lovely little gem. Breakfast was a nice touch. Pub on site serves food and drink. Owners nice. BUT you should have a car if you are staying here. Getting a taxi can be difficult as it is away from main town. Definitely recommend staying here.」

「It was very well equipped and comfortable beds.」

「No dislikes with anything at the Dukes and always love staying there. Bed superbly comfortable. One little niggle not quite ready for winter duvets but forgot to ask for something lighter」
