"The room was damaged and dirty. I had a big dent in my wall and the door did not sit in the doorframe properly. The bath was stained and very old. The furniture was dusty and there was a sticky patch on the bedside table. Some of the towels were stained. The lamps were rusty and there was no ceiling light so you couldn’t switch on the lights when entering the room. I felt a little unsafe as a woman staying on my own."

"I chose this hotel for its price. I think it was a little overpriced for the condition of the facility. As there is a no-smoking policy in the building there were quite a few people hanging around the front/side of the building to smoke, which gave it a shady vibe. The staff was nice, the bed was comfy but the room showed wear and tear and could use an update. Ex: the walls were repainted but only in certain areas - meaning if you're going to paint - paint the whole wall, not just the right side."

"Was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was good and seemed fresh. Rooms clean. Did have one towel that seemed to be stained, but all in all good. Not sure if it is the scent of the cleaner or what but there was a constant aroma of what seemed to be Marijuana in the hall way. We did not smell it in our room however. All an all I would return and enjoyed the stay. 4 out of 5 stars."

Econo Lodge at Military Circle

"Military Circle Econo Lodge violated a number of norms, including a KIOSK with bot-like person on the other end of a ZOOM-like connection (as opposed to an actual person on site to check us in, and solve problems); no soap; faucet not attached to the sink; dirty sheets in our first room; BLOODY SHEETS in purported replacement room (we have photos to prove it); smoke oozing from the walls (in both rooms, which conspicuously contained ashtrays, despite a NO SMOKING booking); and NO HUMAN STAFF ON SITE, 24 HOURS, despite written pledge issued at checkin, as well as Expedia description: "Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival at the property" (a lie). No way would any sane person spend the night here. We packed up and escaped, sidestepping a scary marijuana-vaping homeless person who half-blocked the exit stairway. This motel is hideously unsanitary, not safe, and "run" (as in "run down") by lying ripoff artists. Send your worst enemies there."
