「Great boutique hotel feel!!」

「The property is close to town and has a great view. However, it is in desperate need of a complete remodel. We stayed in an oceanfront king. The bed is actually a queen The room reeked of cleaning chemicals to the point of making your eyes water. There was barely a trickle of luke warm water in the shower. The cable went out and never came back on, the light on the balcony didn't work, the coffee machine was clogged and blew hot coffee throughout the room, and the hair dryer actually blew up...

「There was no breakfast scheduled. They did not offer an explanation. They hosted a prom on Saturday evening and the guests were basically ignored during the evening and morning after. The food was not appetizing!! The rooms were clean, however, we realized that the sliding door would not lock. Maintenance came to take a look nonchalantly and left without a solution. There was no security latch on the front door as well. We packed up to leave and was offered another room. That room was freezing...

As a senior, this facility was very remote when touring the island and driving on the left side of the road was challenging at times. Also, the elevator doesn't work so getting to the other levels was challenging. Julie, the manager went out of her way to accommodate us.」

For privacy, The Waves gets an A++ and the onsite restaurant, AMA, is spectacular. That being said, after our initial awe, we did run into some frustrations. 「From the time we booked to checkout, the experience was absolutely excellent. Delia ensured we had everything we needed even before we areived. During our stay Melissa, Angela, Paula and I know I'm leaving someone out provided a great bar and good experience. We were there during a slower time so it felt like we had a private resort. 「The apartment truly does sit in the heart of Christiansted - a perfect location for popping out to a local dinner, browsing local shops, heading out for an excursion, or ducking downstairs to the juice bar. The space was well maintained very clean, and provided everything we need. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this apartment for a trip to Christiansted.」
