Very comfy beds. Clean, light room and friendly staff. Tea and coffee available in the room . The karioke downstairs stopped at 11pm which was fine and we slept well. We could have done with some towel hooks or a rail and a few instructions like how to turn on the radiator and what to do with the key when we left ( we worked those things out in the end !)

Our room 118 had bits of mould round the shower it was meant to be a delux room but we felt it looked tired and some bits of the furniture looked dated

We were amazed by our stay at OYO townhouse. We stayed in Le Jardin room and know Durham well. It surpassed all expectations with a truly gorgeous room with a beautiful that was also very private. The hot tub was super and lit up lovely in the evening/night. The service was exceptional and we were well looked after by a range of people. The hotel bar was really lovely too and we enjoyed this before and after meals. We were lucky enough to get engaged on our stay here and it made the whole trip even more memorable. Nothing to fault from the whole experience!

Stunning! Everything was amazing. Lovely body room with a big bathroom very comfortable and clean.The castle is so beautiful with the combination of really old carved furnitures, beautiful decorations in every little corner and windows with a more modern twist in the bar and dining room. The dinner was excellent as well as the breakfast I highly recommend this hotel it’s a very good value for the money
