"Wow.... we were blown away when we first arrived at the Villa even though we arrived during a big storm! "The hotel rooms and facilities were well kept. The food was good, even though the variety could be wider. Local draft beer that is served in the resort was good and I'm a beer person. The personnel was beyond friendly and very helpful. The down side is the beach and the water. The waves were so strong that the sweeming was out of the questions ((("

"This was a stunning end to my stay in Sri Lanka. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and general manager was around and introduced himself during breakfast. Cocktails and food was great. Breakfast was excellent. So many choices and nothing too much trouble. I can see it may be an issue in high season, but in October there was enough sunloungers at the pool and beach for everyone. Water supplied in room and on the beach/pool areas. WiFi was fast and reliable. Hotel offered turn down service which was a nice touch. Tip try the King Colada! Thank you Banisha for being so friendly and welcoming! <3"

"Fabulous hotel in a quiet convenient part of Galle. Easy quick tuk tuk ride to fort and great restaurants. Beautiful spacious clean room with classy furnishings and super comfortable bed. Pool area is lovely to relax and unwind. Breakfast was fantastic and served just outside the room on the terrace. Staff really helpful. Totally recommend this hotel. "

"Hotel location in heart of Fort Galle excellent. Staff service, friendliness and willingness to accommodate excellent. Beautiful buildings well restored. Excellent breakfast. I assume they are not 5 star as only provide some of the little extras in room that you would normally expect from like properties eg tissues, body lotion etc but that didn’t bother us! Our bed was a little saggy but that is the only fault we could find. They even gave us a very late checkout at no cost when we offered to pay which was very much appreciated & totally not expected. Highly recommend."
