"The location was great. The cabin was perfect for us and our adult children, with 3 beds and 3 baths and a nice, well equipped kitchen. The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed the big front porch. "

"We absolutely loved this place - we wanted privacy on the mountain and that's what we got! We walked out the door and hiked up a mountain, we drove 5 minutes and checked out Pinkerton Hot Spring, we drove N. 25 minutes and hiked Cascades waterfall! The house has EVERYTHING we needed and was appointed with everything I forgot to bring, a true delight while on vacay with children! The only complaint about our stay - we didn't realize the highway would be so loud. At night there isn't much traffic so that wasn't an issue, but sitting on the deck or in the yard, it was quite loud. All in all, we'd stay again in a heartbeat! "

"Cabin was great! Beautiful view of the mountains off of the deck. Wildlife every morning and evening. Cabin was clean and well stocked with supplies and accessories. Dean was an amazing host, he was in constant communication with us, before, during and after our stay. Highly recommend this relaxing getaway. We will definitely come back and visit."

"The property in Lake Purgatory drive was perfect for our vacation in July. There was a beautiful view of the mountains and hummingbirds that we enjoyed while relaxing on the back deck. Temperatures were perfect as it is about ten degrees cooler than the city of Durango. All of the accommodations were wonderful. The owners original artwork was a unique touch that we enjoyed. We highly recommend the property!"
"The location is great to Purgatory where we had a day of skiing. There were a number of issues within the property that needed repair and replacements, such as a broken couch in the main living area, a missing TV remote in one of the bedrooms and light bulbs that needed replacements including one up in the ceiling that was unaccessible without a ladder. Property management company responded quickly when issues were addressed - however we should have been told of the damaged couch prior to check in and despite being told that housekeeping said TV remote was there and all bulbs were working in the house when they cleaned that was not the case and should not have to replace light bulbs when only staying for two nights. They did give us a refund of 50.00 which was the right thing to do. We just hope that these issues will be fixed for next guests."
