Great location & breakfast, but mixed experience with staff Hotel Gamla Stan is in a perfect spot—right in the heart of the old town and close to everything you'd want to see in Stockholm. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh options and a lovely setting. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, I did notice some uncomfortable behavior from the breakfast wait staff—interactions with guests seemed noticeably different depending on their background. It felt a bit off, even though the service itself was efficient. Overall, a nice stay in a beautiful area, but I hope the hotel works on making all guests feel equally welcome.

The hotel has a very relaxed and homely feeling to it with wonderful staff. The bed was comfortable and good showering facilities. Coffee and tea available all day in the downstairs lounge. Breakfast very good with homemade bread. Situated opposite some of the boat trip berths and in easy walking distance of most of Stockholm's tourist attractions.

Museum of Technology might be fun for kids and schools but it does lack some quality. A couple of times a year they change exhibitions, but they tend to be quite small. There is however an interesting exhibition on telecommunications. While there you might as well visit the neighboring museum of ethnographic, which hosts a quite good restaurant.
