"The whole hotel was spotless, everyone was so kind, nothing was a problem, a special shout out to Sarah, she was always on hand, friendly and happy to help, it makes a big difference to a happy stay. Food was good and hot, room was warm and bed was fab with proper pillows, not the small hard rocks that other hotel favour! This is our second stay and it is a great base to explore the lakes from. Highly recommended. "

"1 Townhead cottage was brilliant a real home from home. Plenty room for the 3 of us and our dog all rooms very spacious. Everything was in cottage that you require for a quality stay short or long. Kirkby Thore has post office/shop which is well stocked and has all your dailly needs. Penrith was 10 mins away with supermarkets, Mcdonalds and would recommended Lotus Garden chinese takeaway too. Ideal location for walks, Pooley Bridge, Kirby Stephen and Lake District. Will 100% recommend to friends and family and would definitely return "
