We stopped by Durham today as part of a University Open Day visit and took some time to also explore the town.

As well as the cathedral which commends a great spot over the river there is also the castle, botanical gardens as well as lots of old parts of the beautiful town to explore.

「The directions and the greeting at the apartment by James were exceptional. The location was convenient to the shops and places of interest (the cathedral) and the view from the terrace across the river simply wonderful. 「Finchale is such a beautiful place, next to the priory ruins in a bend of the river Wear - amazing views across the river, or from the far bank to the priory.
