Cute and Easy Access

The property was lovely. Easy access to the highway but still felt secluded.

This place had it all!

We overpacked! Your typical short term rental usually has a pretty sparsely stocked kitchen with very basic cookware, utensils, etc. so I usually bring my own cast iron cookware, an instant pot, spatulas, tongs, etc.NO need here! The kitchen was a cook's delight which is important to use because when we're on vacation we make a lot of meals in the house, and this home was AWESOME for that!I haven't even talked about the view and the "backyard" which was basically a scene from a movie!!! The conifer trees reached for the sky and a swift, waterfall-laden creek cuts through the backyard with ample places for hammocks to fall asleep in... which we did!The house has great places to sleep, and the living areas are AWESOME allowing our family to spend hours just talking, planning and dreaming.Be prepared for the altitude. If you're a flatlander like us, and you live your life at about 1000', then you can expect the 9200' elevation to take it's toll. Stay hydrated, eat right, and get out there and enjoy the hiking so you'll sleep well at night. There's a great collection of books in the living room... Check out "Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat..." it's an awesome book!
My "kids" (they're all adults now) helped with meals, and the we'll equipped/stocked kitchen makes it easy.
Each morning my wife and I sat on the deck, drank our coffee and said our morning prayers to this view.
We love to hammock, and we easily set up four hammocks in the "backyard." There's no way NOT to sleep with the sound of the creek lulling you to unconsciousness.
