Grand Palms Resort

8/10 Good

"It's a great place for a family vacation. We had a 2-bedroom villa; it had 2 bathrooms. The place smelled musky, but I had an oil plug-in that helped. The sliding glass door was very difficult to open. Overall, it looked like this villa didn't get much upgrade when it was purchased. The view was great with the small pond and geese. The price was good, but I would prefer to stay in a newer unit next time. The amenities were awesome. We do hope to come back next year."

"We had the best time! The water slides wasn’t much good to us, but plenty to do! Quick walk to the beach and everyone was very helpful! Parking is a bit of challenge, parking spots very close together! I would have also liked being closer to the board walk, but still a very nice place to stay! I recommend!"

"Check in was at 4:00, we arrived at 5:30. When we checked in we asked how long do the slides at the water park stay open? Was told till 8:00, kids were excited. Get to the water slides and they are closed, messaged the app and he said they closed at 5:00. Asked what time they open? 11:00. What time is check out? 11:00. Well for someone staying 1 night you only get 1 hour on the slides if you get there at 4:00. Doesn’t make sense. Kids were disappointed."

"After checking in to my two rooms, my family and I went to our event. Upon our return my niece attempted to take a shower and the water didn’t drain. We informed the staff and was moved to another room. After checking into that room, my brother discovered there was no safety latch on the door. He informed the older gentleman at the front desk and was initially told, “We’ll check it out in the morning.” My brother then had to ask the gentleman what would he do if it was his family?"

"The parking lot was a mess. Spots are tight and the lot needs paving. The awful smell hits you as soon as you walk into the lobby. This smell was just as bad in our room. The room was dirty… the bed spread had stains on it as well as the couch. The carpets were stained and all of the floors were sticky. The breakfast was poor…there are almost no words. I would give it zero stars all around. "

"Everything was really good. My only complaint would be that the activity should be included. You pay a resort fee each night and some of the activity should just be free to the resort and not having to pay….like we literally had to pay eight dollars to do s’mores that’s just a candy bar and graham crackers so why so much when it cost so much to stay at the property"
