「The hotel is situated on extensive grounds with a walk down to the Shannon river. Great pool - longer than most hotel pools. The interior of the hotel is rather old fashioned and could do with some refurbishment. My room was large and comfortable. It is about a fifteen minute drive to Limerick city centre although there is a train station nearby.」

「Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Everything worked smoothly, the room was comfortable, and the overall experience was very positive. The only small point to mention is that the rooms can be quite a long walk from the reception and breakfast area. We happened to have one of the furthest rooms, which was a little inconvenient at times, especially with family/luggage. Other than that, everything met our expectations, and we had an enjoyable stay. We would happily stay here again.」

「The Horse and Jockey was a great place to spend a few nights and have day trips around Ireland. It was really hot when we were there and they brought a fan to our room, that was great. 「Sonia is a top notch host. Very accommodating for a last-minute booking. She offered suggestions for things to do in the area and left fresh eggs from her farm for us.
