"With our Expedia cash we only paid a little over $50 a night. Very old hotel. There was no area to visit outside the room that had clean upholstered chairs. The bedding and towels were clean but carpet worn and old. Only used for sleeping. South Padre electric shut the power off 2 nights in a row for testing. If you have sleep apnea bring your own little generator. Ptwo nights in that a row."

"La maquina de hielos no servia La noche del 31 de marzo para el 1ro de abril a las 3 am sono la alarma de incendio de la torre B, llegaron los bomberos y la policia. No encontraban la llave en el lobby de la torre B para desactivarla. Despues previo a la salida (1ro de abril) a las 10 am volvió a activarse… "

"Everything was about as clean at I would expect from a place costing $100/night. Parking was good, the pools were nice, and beach access was decent. I had three issues though: No where in my booking did it indicate that there would be an extra charge of $25/person for a wristband to have in and out privileges. I don't think that guests should have to compensate for the staffs inability to properly monitor who is coming on and off of their property. But that extra money took away a night out to eat since we had to buy these "required" wristbands. The staff as a whole was not very helpful or accommodating. No one looked like they wanted to be there, which I get, bc who wants to be at work? But you shouldn't be in customer service of you can't handle it. Last thing, which isn't huge, but was still very disappointing, the balcony attached to the room was inaccessible in our studio room. This definitely needs to be clarified when booking this room. Overall we had a great vacation, and this served fine as a place to shower and sleep, but it would have been a lot better with better communication when booking."

"Should’ve listened to other reviews about not actually being in the hotel. You will be right behind it in small motel wings.. room was decent tho and the pool and beach were great. I was also charged $100 “deposit” upon check in because I booked thru Expedia. Kinda defeats the purpose of using third party booking apps for deals. So over $700 for a motel the only perk was beach access. "

"Walking up to and into our room was a little intimidating in the dark as there were literally only TWO cars in the entire parking lot. The place was EMPTY until Saturday. Once we got in the room, the room was good. Staff had to come and change out our fridge as it didn't cool but they corrected it immediately. The pool was excellent and beach access was good. Was not impressed you had to pay extra for a chair at the beach. Restaurant closed at 8pm along with the bar. Staff was friendly! "
