Disneyland® Resort

Disneyland was fairly empty due to the rain and I think many people stayed away due the coronavirus scare. We had 5 minute wait times for Splash Mountain, Pirates and other rides. The rain did send a lot of people back to their hotel rooms or homes.

Uber from Hotel, it’s very close so it won’t cost much and you’ll save the toll on your feet! Also ART bus system isn’t always on time.

According to my map app, walking from Motel 6 Maingate is about 0.7 miles. It will probably take 15 to 20 minutes to walk at a leisurely pace, or less if you're a power walker! Just don't expect a view of much of anything from your room.

You need at least a 3 day pass

get the Disney park app on your phone even weeks before your trip and begin to plan reservations for dining and attractions immediately. Most restaurants at the park will take reservations 60 days in advance. We waited until 2 days prior and our choices were very limited. For ride lines and gated area admittance, you must be within the resort. Some virtual queues open at official park opening time. Stay on cell service and not park Wi-Fi for best app performance.

The food in Disneyland is 3-5 times the cost of a meal anywhere in the real world. For the few nice restaurants in Disneyland, make reservations far in advance.
