This is my first review of anything ever - product, place, airline, anything! My stay at The George deserves a review because it was so perfect. Amazing food, lovely room, slept well, great breakfast. Simply nothing negative to say! Staff are great and I will stay again if I get the chance. My only feedback would be to suggest soft close toilet seats in the rooms 😬

We had a fabulous room, which was ready for us when we arrived at 1130. The bathroom was huge and I had a bath, as requested. Disappointingly, the bath plug was faulty and although staff promised to replace, it remained faulty so I was unable to have a bath which I had looked forward to. Breakfast staff still not listening to specific requests - the food is amazing but far too much of it, and I hate waste!

Very helpful reception staff very welcoming and informative. Room was very clean and ready for us. Bar and restaurant staff were also excellent attentive. We had an excellent meal, the bill needed a bit of sorting out as the system had difficulty sorting out the normal menu and the offered special but got there in the end. We were with friends ( who used to be in the hospitality industry) and overall we were impressed. Thank you to all at The Bear we will be back
