Beautiful views and very responsive staff.The only thing we did not like was leaving to return home.

It’s a beautiful property. It is about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Siracusa/Ortigia. It has 2 large pools. The Restaurant at the resort is top notch and the included breakfast is the best in Sicily- absolutely incredible. The staff and owner are very nice and were very accommodating.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a middle of nowhere

The hotel is beautifully restored. Too bad we only stayed 1 night , it would have been nice to stay another day and chill out in the pool. We enjoyed an aperitivo on the rooftop and the sunset was gorgeous. The staff we very nice and showed us the whole place . Conchita in the restaurant was very nice and Omma and the front desk Valerie and the rest of the staff were all nice.

Palazzo Achates was perfect for us! It is in the center of old town on a quiet street and has been fully renovated with a beautiful modern minimalist design. I booked the last room available which, was described as small, but it was actually quite roomy and lovely. The owner answered all requests promptly and was wonderfully welcoming! He made us feel assured that the keycard entry to the hotel itself would work smoothly at any hour of the night, and it did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We booked a room in the Rock annex. It was an entire, fully equipped apartment. The Rock annex is located across the street and down about one block from the main hotel. To be honest, other than doing the initial checkin and a walk around, we never went to the main hotel building. The pool is located there and there is a small bar. The property is gorgeous and the building is very well maintained. The seaview to the harbor and ocean is serene. There is no noise from the marina or harbor. Staff was very attentive. The rooms were not missing anything. They were generously outfitted with robes, pool sandals, pool bag etc. we had a very memorable stay.

My wife and I loved our stay here. We booked it for our last day in Sicily because it was near the airport. But when we arrived, we realized how extraordinary this hotel is. It’s absolutely beautiful—with service to match. The pool is incredible. And the staff treated us like royalty. We particularly enjoyed Luigi, our server, and our meals were excellent! Salvatore, the hotel manager, also went above and beyond for us. We highly recommend staying here.

Omg. We just checked out. We miss it already. Our entire stay from start to finish was incredible. The staff made us feel like family. David the concierge made each day so special for us. An amazing cute little quiet area with amazing food

View of the temples, great pool for swimming laps, fabulous suite, good restaurant, over the top staff! Can say enough good about the Villa Athena.
