"All was good except the lack of an elevator. We are not handicapped, but large, heavy suitcases are difficult to take up the stairs. Otherwise a very nice stay."

"The only thing was that the pancake machine was not dialed in so they were under done and gummy. Fresh fruit was a welcome addition and the size of the milk was great not having to pour it out of a pitcher was nice too. Staff was friendly and courteous. "

"This hotel and the whole town of Mason City was a happy surprise. The property has been beautifully, painstakingly maintained/restored with nearly every detail impeccably Frank Lloyd Wright. (that also means there are fewer outlets, etc. than you'd expect in a modern build.) Bed was comfy, staff was very accommodating, good dining options within walking distance, nice balcony overlooking the park, so bring a bottle of wine. Kudos to the folks who made this such a great and authentic-feeling experience. My only suggestion; they needed to wash the windows. (FLW would have wanted maximum light coming into the rooms.)"

"Although the hotel is a basic one, when we travel we judge the hotels not only by the rooms and building, but the temperature of the pool. This hotel was just perfect. I also liked the fact that we had until noon to check out so we could swim in the morning before leaving."
