In-Town Moose Haus Lodge

This rustic cabin will give you the feeling that you are in the middle of the woods while having the convenience of being in town. Located just minutes from downtown Clear Lake, the historic Surf Ballroom, and City Beach, this is the perfect get-away spot! A large upper loft makes this a great option for families with kids or a peaceful retreat.

Two queen beds, two sofas, and welcomed air mattresses (not provided) make this cabin stay comfortable for 6-8 travelers.

*We know that dogs are family members so we are pet friendly, we simply add a $25 pet fee to the total of your stay. Sorry, we cannot allow cats due to family allergies.

Perfect spot for a guys weekend

Awesome barn

Great getaway

this is our second time staying and we absolutely love it. It’s so charming and private a beautiful yard great surroundings. Our dog loves it. The fire pit is wonderful! So close to great activity in town.

Ladies Pheasant Hunt

What an awesome experience staying here! The barn was spacious, clean, well stocked and cozy. There was plenty of space to hang out, play cards, cook and relax. The fireplace was an added bonus. The host was very responsive and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Rental

Was perfect for my family gathering! House was immaculately cleaned, beds were comfortable, grounds were perfect for outdoor activities, located very close to downtown Clear Lake. House decor was adorable and all major essentials like bedding, towels, and paper products were provided. Would highly recommend!

Charming Barn

This refurbished barn has plenty of room to spread out inside and out. It has everything you need in the kitchen and plenty of comfortable beds and bedding. Very cute and quaint space. Highly recommend.

Rustic pet friendly vacation rental

It was the perfect place for us. We enjoyed the large lot for our pets, space to move around, and overall set up of the rental. One bathroom with low light was hard to manage when dealing with eye contacts but I was able to figure out a way to manage. We'd come back again.

Great Group Stay

We celebrated New Year’s Eve and had our family’s Christmas celebration at this facility for the second consecutive year. The host lives next door and was quick to respond to our questions but gave us the privacy we desired. The quaint downstairs area features an old fashioned kitchen, seating area with a gas fireplace, large dining area, private bedroom and a bathroom. The upstairs loft includes a large open sleeping area, game room and living room where the siblings all stayed.

Fabulous!!!

3 adult women on a girls trip weekend. None of us had been to Clear Lake and didn’t know what to expect. What a friendly small town. It might just be one of the best small towns in America. And what a wonderful place to stay! It’s convenient to everything and yet so quiet and peaceful. The “barn” has been beautifully appointed with comfortable furniture and beds. There is plenty of room to spread out and you have everything you need. I’d give it a 10. I’d definitely stay there again.

Barn of Awesomeness

We are passing thru to hunt in SD. I came upon this place b/c we have a dog...he needs some room to relax! I work in real estate and was hoping the photos were realistic. We were shocked at the size and incredible decor when we walked in. This barn has plenty of space on each level. Fireplace works great. The weather app says it is minus 3 degrees and it is warm in here. The driveway is hard to find in the dark. Very close to food etc. We would definitely stay again. I give this 11 out of 10 stars.

Perfect Family Get Together

We loved this place! We stayed New Year’s Eve and attended a concert at the Surf Ballroom with our older children and their significant others. The property is close enough to walk to the Surf but it was winter so…. Super cozy with a fireplace and everything you need to have a fun family get together including board games, movies, Roku TV, and a rustic checkers game. The loft allowed the teens and young adults to have a “sleepover” and the downstairs bedroom provided the privacy we parents needed. The hosts live next door but gave us the privacy we wanted and we felt we could have contacted them if needed.

Fun and Rustic Barn Stay

What an awesome place to stay at! It was an accurate description and very clean! A little more Rustic as it was a barn they transformed. A friend and i stayed here for a concert at the Surf Ballroom and wished we could have stayed another night! So mucn fun here. The firepit, games, upstairs area, kitchen, bedroom, etc were all so fun and we loved the decor! We stayed at a more modern place the following night and both said we actually preferred this one, eventhough both were nice. Had such a home vibe to it. Would highly recommend! Only downside was only 1 bathroom but definitely do-able! Fun for families! We may be back again before too long!!!

Good surprises

The pictures don't do justice to this property. It is appointed with all kinds of thoughtful touches. Lots of blankets, soaps, new towels. Games and room to play games at several tables. Great gathering place for my family here for a memorial service. If we come back to the area we want this place again. We went swimming at city beach and there was a street festival downtown on thurs night, all summer thursdays I guess. My husband and I had a really nice dinner downtown at a place called Seven. We made a fire and played guitar too. Thank you to the owners for everything.

Great Place to Stay

Secluded. It seems like a great place to bring a large group of family/friends. Very inviting open space upon walking in. The only thing I would like to see is to have the driveway marked in some way. The instructions I received indicated that I should pull into the driveway on the west side of the property. We arrived in the evening, after dark, and the property sits a bit off the road. While I was able to see a building with the exterior light on, I was not able to clearly see the front of the building to confirm I was at the correct place. Just a suggestion--it would be helpful to have a separate sign (possibly Moose Haus Lodge or 430A or even another 430 sign at the entrance driveway). It wouldn't have to be anything big or fancy--just something to help us old people out!! LOL ;-) Beautiful, clean property and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to someone else.
