"Staff was very friendly but we didn’t arrive until around 9 and they had given our room away. They found another room with a broken toilet. They finally gave us a ‘suite’ upgrade. Sadly the couch was so nasty we would not sit on it. Old with burns visible (in a no smoking room). The bed was clean and comfortable. The sink leaked badly. There were too many people walking around the balcony smoking in the evening and morning. There was food left out when we checked in at 9 pm from the previous breakfast the morning before. We will not return. The ratings I read do not seem to be a fair review of the property. NOT recommended. "

"We were in the Riverside area, it definitely needs updating. Carpet very stained, beds uncomfortable and small( should be queen beds). Room was clean, but furniture very worn. "

"Our family stayed at Black Ridge cabin for a week during spring break. The house is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! We got to play board games on the big dining room table and roast hotdog over the fire pit. We were close enough to visit all of the local parks and yet far enough out that we really felt like we were in nature. All of us enjoyed the buggy ride and our hosts were so kind and communicated very quickly."

"A decent place to when visiting Harrisburg. My room was clean. It had amenities like microwave, fridge, and TV. My bed mattress was soft and the bed was a bit squeaky. The windows didn't have shear drapes but just the main curtains. The bathroom was clean. The shower functioned well. The complimentary breakfast was okay. It had cereals, bagels, make your own waffle, coffee, couple of juices, and apples. The location was ideal for me and the room rate was pretty reasonable for all the amenities. The staff member service was friendly and good. I liked my stay here. "

"Did a two night stay! Was a great spot, very clean and pictures are exact. Bed was comfortable and cozy. Will definitely book again when I come visit Southern Illinois again. "
