「Two good things about this property the staff and the fact that it is on Lake Huron. The whole place needs to be upgraded, especially for the price that they charge. They are understaffed and it shows in the cleanliness of the rooms. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and the floor was filthy. The bed sheets were clean and there was no sign of unwanted insects. Not worth the price.」

「The owner of the property was a very nice gentleman. Checking in was smooth. I got some groceries before I got there. Like advertised.. the cabin I was in was fully furnished with a full kitchen, living room, dining area, bedroom, and bathroom. But this needs to be known.. my only complaint. I’m 5’5” and 270 lbs. A #2 was very difficult because of how tightly fit in the toilet location was. I think anyone very tall and/or wide will have difficulties.」

「We stayed in the Garden Cottage for a week and cannot recommend it for longer stays. While the property manager responded to our texts and generally sent maintenance within 24 hours, the property suffers from poor upkeep and temporary fixes. Our issues started at check-in when our entry code failed, and no one answered the phone, forcing us to communicate solely via text. Upon entry, the unit smelled strongly of marijuana, the bedroom closet door was broken, and a ceiling fan blade was hanging...

「I wish I could give a better overall review of the property, for it has great potential! If it weren't for the inability to check in, I'd rate it even higher. Though I believe in giving fair and honest reviews, without just complaining.The Good: The property outside is lovely and is right on the lake! Couldn't ask for a better location. They allow pets which is also great!I had been in communication on VRBO several times leading up to the stay with general questions. I'd talked to them 2 days...
