「Beautiful room and location - this guesthouse only features 1 bedroom (a minute walk away from the host's house) and is quite isolated. Perfect to spend time in silence, reading or meditating. There are a few guesthouses a couple of minutes walk and it is literally 5 minute walk from one of the entrances to the national park. The host is wonderful and is a guide himself, - his wife cooks great meals (recommended the vibe rice option).」

「Toted as being one of the most remote hotels in SL the hotel did not disappoint. Fabulous location and well run for such a remote site. You certainly got a sense of the rainforest by the time you got there. Our container was comfortable and the bar and dinning rooms spacious. As vegetarians we were a little bored with curry and rice yet again but it was nice not to have to face another buffet dinner as dinner was served to you. 「Boulder Garden Hotel is the most beautifull hotel I have ever been to. It is located in the middle of a forest. Except for the rooms, everything is in the outside: the restaurant is located below a huge boulder, the swimming pool is in the middle of rocks. The personel is very friendly and helpfull. The food is very good and relatively cheap (our dinner was 12 USD for two). The hotel is very small: there are only 5 or 6 rooms. So nearly all of it is there for you only. I recomend it very much. 」

「We had a fantastic stay here. The house & setting are just beautiful, so peaceful & the hosts are so welcoming & friendly. The bed was so comfortable! We had an evening meal here which was home cooked & delicious. We had an early start the following day for a Jeep safari we’d booked through the hosts & we were sent off with a huge packed breakfast. The safari was fabulous too, the guide was so knowledgeable about Udawele Park. Wish we could have stayed longer!」

「I went to several places in Sri Lanka (the more expensive and the lesser) and I can honestly say I had the best time at this accommodation. I stayed in a tent by the river and the sounds of nature are incredible. The hotel is situated practically inside the rainforest, the owner came and picked me up in the village as the accommodation is at the end of a small path and not reachable by car (which made it even more adventurous, you’re truly going back to nature).
