The motel is located very close to Death Valley National Park. However, the mattresses were extremely soft, and some bathroom tiles were coming off. Additionally, the tap water felt like it needed treatment. This property would be a great business opportunity if the owner undertook a major upgrade while preserving its 100-year heritage.

Woman at front desk was very nice. The hotel looks abandoned. Outside paint was peeling, the front porch had uneven concrete. It looks awful. Inside was worse. Room had peeling paint, plumbing in bathroom was all exposed. Tile was falling off. It was bad. I would never stay here again

This is a delightfully quirky place to stay. Staff were wonderful, informative and helpful. The original owner, sadly deceased, was definitely an eccentric. Those who manage the property today are keen to continue her vision. The property is rundown but that did not detract from the pleasure of being somewhere, at the end of our Death Valley drive, with a bit of character.

This is a historical site and needs work. I went into it with those expectations and had a great time. Rooms are clean and AC works well. This place is a gem. Employees are wonderful and dedicated to the legacy. Loved it

The history here is incredible. Really beautiful and isolated hotel about 35-45m drive from major spots in Death Valley. We took a tour of the Opera House and hotel with Tammy who was incredible. Really loved the look and feel of the hotel.

This motel is for an adaptable traveler who doesn’t mind staying in a place that has seen better days but is full of history. Don’t miss the tour of the opera house.

This is a very fun boutique hotel. It is not fancy if that is what you are looking for but it has a great location and the people are very nice. It is said to be haunted so that makes it a little fun as well. It is our third time staying for our trips to Death Valley. Great location!

I loved The Opera House Hotel. It is 100 years old, so facilities are very dated . It was clean and warm. 🤗The history and atmosphere are very nice. It is remote so it is good for the adventurous traveler .
