This review is about RACHEL SMITH at the front desk. I booked and pre paid for two rooms, one for my 4 younger siblings and one for my spouse and I. Upon arrival, Rachel Smith did not allow my brother to check into their room due to two of my siblings being “minors” at 16 and 17 years old. We approached her and said that the room was under my name, and that I was checking in also. She began to asked for everyone’s ID to verify the relationship. She even didn’t approve of my gov issued ID and insisted and stated a “LEGAL US TEXAS ID”. I told her it was expired but proceeded to show her with no issues. She began to emphasize that she didn’t want us there because we’d cause “TROUBLE”. Assuming we’d cause trouble why? The color of our skin? We barley had been in the lobby for 5 minutes and denied check in. We had just drove 7 hours and wanted to shower. She began to threaten us with calling the cops if we caused trouble, stating they were always on the premises. We asked “why would their be trouble?”. She stated “YOUR TYPE CAUSES TROUBLE”. We said that’s fine, there would be no issues. What a coincidence that afterwards the police arrive. To say the least, Dallas was beautiful, it was our first time there, and the hotel was amazing but we felt very uncomfortable and un welcomed as if our every move was being watched that we couldn’t even enjoy our stay. What a great way to experience our first time in Dallas!
