"This is a HOSTEL, not a HOTEL. So,
PRO: Súper friendly staff, big kitchen you can use, right in front of the beach, in the middle of nowhere. No people around. Perfect for a getaway with no cellphones.
CONS: Not the cleanest place, they don’t clean the rooms during your stay, staff only works during mornings so if you need something during the day it’s kinda difficult. The beach is full of garbage and full of sargazo which even if it’s not their fault they could clean the beach in front of the...

"Paradise and peace. We loved it at Margarita del Sol. Although, the drive from the town to the hotel, not the hotel’s fault, was really rough.
Please remember to purchase food before you get there as you won’t want to leave to traverse the road back into town.
Lulu is lovely and extremely kind and helpful.

Oceanfront Villa: Casona Palms on Private Beachfront
10/10 Excellent
"Casona Palms is a beautiful well appointed home in a special place. The hosts have put plenty of thought and care into their guests experience. From the moment I was in touch with Julie, the host, prior to completing the booking she very easy to communicate with.Julie went above and beyond during our stay. She immediately ordered us a stainless steel pan when we let her know one of the non stick cookware pans was scratched. Julie even ordered a Christmas tree and decorations for our daughters out of the goodness of her heart. It was such a lovely gesture and speaks volumes of how she cares about her guests and their time spent at the villa. She was in touch often sharing tips about current events in the area. The caretakers and their sweet pets on site were great and very friendly. Again, we had our expectations exceeded when they called to inform us we forgot a piece of luggage. They offered to drive it to us all the way in town. We both started to drive towards each other and Jose (the caretaker) met us half way on the road with the bag. He saved us a lot of time. We were very comfortable at Casona Palms. Don't worry about no a/c! The house is truly built with fantastic ventilation. The decor, the linens, the furniture, the fully stocked kitchen with things that mater like sharp knifes and cold water in the fridge for you upon arrival and the expansive private beachfront - all of it was by far one of the nicest places we have stayed in. The description and photos a"
"My new home wasn't ready yet, and I was desperate for somewhere to stay. The staff were lovely, but my closet is bigger than this unairconditioned shoebox for the audacious price of $1,200 pesos. The nauseating fumes of sargasso only make this overpriced nightmare masquerading as an eco-friendly locale more lovely. I have a fan that's blowing the mosquitoe netting into my face. They thoughtfully hung it offset from the bed, so I'm continously tangled in it.."
"The entrance is dirty! The parking lot gives a terrinle image of what the hotel is going to look like. Evwn being only soil, it can be clean. The outer facade has a flaf of the hotel that looks super old and ugly, it literally gives the i.pression of a cheap hotel. My brother passed by and didn't want to stau in it because of the look. The entrance stairs are painted with a paint that shows the soil of all the shoes, it looks dirty, with a nice facade, well painted you would make it look sooo different. This is a nice hotel that with a little little love would be amaaazing!!! The sargazo smell is horrible... we loooved how spacious our room was!!!!!!the terrace it has to the malecon is amaaaazing!!!!! It was clean, though the bathroom can have some improvements, just by painting the wall would make it look cleaner. The shower also needs some detailing.
The music at night is reaaly good! I loved listening pop mexican music such as Luis Miguel and Enrique Iglesias. I stayed down for hours! Loved it! It is very well located! I couldn't have breakfast since we went on a dive trip and the breakfast starts very late.. it should start at 7.. The pool is only a big jacuzzi but it is not clean. You can make a beautiful rooftop there! You have the place to make it. The view of the hotel is amaaaazing. We enjoyed opening the terrace and looking at the ocean! The staf was super nice, specially Montserrat.. all of them..Overall we enjoyed very much our stay!"
