「We stayed here for one night after a day in Winchester. A nice enough hotel, with staff pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was small but well kept. The main issue we had was that the room was that next to a staff run through, meaning doors were slammed constantly. 「Beautiful room and en-suite in a lodge with four others, tucked away at the back of the garden. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated two armchairs, decent size fridge and small outside area with table and chairs. Evening meal in the pub was also excellent. Lovely beer garden and attentive hosts. We didn't have breakfast as making an early start but ordered a packed lunch which was very handy.」

「The property is timber framed and old, really old. Cleanliness and condition is very good but this building needs constant maintenance. We loved it, it’s very old and full of history. 「It was a very mixed stay, although overall it was positive. The first room we were given was very dirty. The walls in particular were yellow and marked, including hand prints on the walls and mould on the curtains (pictured attached). The room was very hot and the window didn't open - no air conditioning either. It was quite small and cramped. Premier inn would have been a lot better. 「My go to hotel in the area because it is always friendly, nothing is too much trouble, clean and convenient place to stay. I rarely eat there, doing so with friends in the neighbourhood, which is why 4 stars not 5 but given the comments I hear from those who do I suspect 5 would be deserved.」

「The rooms were large and clean. Only body wash and shampoo in the bathroom. No hair conditioner. No real cupboard, just a few hangers in a sort of cupboard. There was an iron and an ironing board. Breakfast was okay for us, we don't eat all the food there was served (buffet breakfast). They had snacks so we had a pizza. The receptionists were excellent, so helpful. Also the waiters in the dining room were very helpful. It's a good place for one night before a flight or a cruise.」

「We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous. We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. 」
