the unit is clean, spacious (actually huge for a 1 BR- with the 'porch area, which is heated and part of the unit, there are 3 double beds and 2 single beds, not counting pull out couches) and was recently renovated.
however, the building itself is a dump- it seems like it was or should be employee housing or a dorm- everyone has a dog, (not a bad thing, but good to know), the walls are quite thin, and there are few amenities. you are in a concrete building with the copper mountain medical clinic taking up the ground floor!
if this is your once a year special family trip, you might be disappointed. if you want a clean, large place to eat, sleep and have your family pet, this is great. you will also have to lug your equipment each day, as there are no overnight storage in center village for boots, skis and the rest (except a limited counter taking just skis and poles for $15 a pair/day!) the walk is not intolerable, but for families, it's a pain.
