The Lodge was nice for the area. The general manager Curtis was amazing. Sadly no ice machine, limited dining help. The rooms were rustic to match area, beds were okay comfortable, bathrooms clean. No blow dryer! A great place to kick back in the lobby by the fireplace, but not quite cold enough for it. The coffee was absolutely delicious.

The manager, Curtis was very helpful and friendly. It is 4 miles from Yellowstone. Very close to Lamar Valley.

absolute dreadful stay! None of the accommodations were open! No casino, no tavern, no restaurant ! Employees were in the lobby on their phones every time we walked through.. We chose this place because we thought we would have a place to eat, a place to have a drink and little entertainment all in one location.. when we arrived we were flat lied to and told that the tavern just closed early that day! After speaking to locals the tavern/casino hasn't been open almost all summer long. The 2nd day we asked again about it and all the guy would tell us is it was closed then acted like he didn't understand what I was asking.. Of course while on his phone sitting in the lobby. Woke up the 2nd day went down to get coffee and was told no coffee they had to clean the machine of course they were once again sitting in the lobby on their phones. 3rd morning had to go down to look for someone so we could get towels, 3 days and no house keeping, we had to actually go down and request for our room to be turned down... Well ended up just 1 out of the 5days we stayed there they actually changed our sheets and made the bed... The last 2 days they did bring towels and take out trash but that was it! No mopping no soap or coffee cup replacements.. they just brought towels... they offered wifi and we connected but still had zero service.. This was our anniversary trip and it was ruined sadly by the place we chose to stay... We will not ever make that mistake again!

Good location. Unhelpful staff. No housekeeping for 3 days. No lighting. Poor condition. No hot water in a.m. 3 stories, no elevator. Surly attitude. Suspect they gave the worst room to Expedia clients. Filthy window. Water-stained ceiling. Inadequate furniture (missing lamp & nightstand).

We were disappointed that the bar wasn’t open ( and the restaurant). I feel this should of been posted on the door so we knew before entering the lodge! Not the owners fault! Nice restaurant(miners lodge down the street)! Coffee pots in the rooms would be great! They had super water pressure in the showers and awesome towels!

Facility is in need of repairs. Bathroom door did not lock, tub had a crack that was 8 inches long and 1/2 inch wide covered with clear epoxy, wall was damaged and just covered with lath to fill the opening, missing covers on wall plugs, doors had a 1inch gap under them, trim had a gap of an inch from the floor. The bedding was dirty. No air conditioning. I would not recommend this property.

The beta I got was that no one in town has air conditioning, so be ready for that. But the Lodge had wifi at least. There is no cell service in town. The restaurant was too hot on August 12th and service seemed slow, so I waited for an outdoor dinner table across the street.

This property got an overall Expedia customer rating of 6.2. At first I thought the rating was a little harsh. It is a very old hotel. The room was average with a comfortable bed. The TV was very small, maybe 20”. The bath tub had several patches in the bottom, no big deal. When we got there we were greeted by the manager who told us he ran many of the hotels that the company owned. Everything was ok until we checked out. We decided to eat breakfast in their restaurant. Both my wife and I ordered omelets. It took 40 minutes to get our food. One other couple got their food and said they did not want it and left.The menu said omelets came with hash browns and toast. We did not get our hash browns. It was obvious the cook and server did not know their own menu, when the server argued with another group of patrons that ordered omelets. The server told them they did not order hash browns. I got a menu from the counter and showed it the server. I can overlook all of this so far. But when I asked about a restroom in the lobby, I was told it was down a set of stairs in the basement. The walls were all missing paint. The two urinals were out of service and wrapped in plastic bags. There was a basket in each stall. All three were over filled with used toilet paper, rolls, and paper wrapping. When I say they were over flowing I mean there was large piles next to the toilets. It was obvious that they were not emptied in quite a long time. The bathroom was disgusting.

I have traveled and stayed all over the country. I completely understood the price of this room due to convenience but I did expect a little more from it. Radiator covers were broken and laying on the floor, the title shower was caulked all over, the walls were dirty, the windows cranks were broken. Beds were so, so. We got into the area late after being in the park and on the road all day. Just a little after 8pm. The lobby was super dim. There wasn't anyone there. We kept saying "hello", until I noticed a phone on the wall with a sign that gave a number to call for assistance. Check in went fast and the man told us where the room was, then was off to doing whatever he was doing. We had a family next to us somewhere, that you could clearly hear through the walls the majority of the evening. The tv did not work. Only turned on and off. No option to even put in your own accounts to watch it. It was just for looks. There is no cell service there, so wifi is the only option. It hardly worked. It's a place to lay your head but for the price, it was lacking. You will be paying for it's convenience of being close to the north east gate of Yellowstone. I have to give it 3 stars for convenience. Not quality or customer service.

This is an older property and when we arrived the restaurant was closed and note in the room advised not to use water from 7 am - 3:30pm to avoid water backup while they were remodeling. No air conditioning but their was a ceiling fan which didn't seem to have more than one speed. Keycard entry but no 2nd lock on the door.
