チェックインしてすぐ、シンクが壊れていることに気づき、出かける際にフロントに頼んだのだが全く動いてもらえず、結局帰ってからスタッフを呼ぶはめになった。修理に来てくれたスタッフはとても良い人だったが、怠惰なフロントスタッフにがっかり。

Dear Hilton Cologne, A was staying 26/12/2019 one night. The Place, room facilities, view, staffs, services and breakfast buffet are all amazing. Especially I love your hotel entrance Christmas tree! Anyways Bathtub I’ve requested and shower were perfect! Close to the cathedral and station. I really enjoyed night and morning stroll. I would definitely come back, thank you. Warm regards, M ケルンの大聖堂を一目朝晩ライトアップが見たくて一泊しました。 当方女性1人、ケルンと言えば年末の事件があったため非常に治安を心配してましたが、ホテルまでは夜間だったためタクシーにしましたがタクシーも場所をすぐ分かってくれましたし、駅近、お部屋は大聖堂ビューをリクエストして、フライトの疲れを癒すためバスタブもリクエストしておきましたが、本当に素晴らしい滞在になりました。 川向こうのホテルと迷ったけれど、あちらは治安と翌日の移動を考慮して、こちらにして大正解でした。 ケルン大聖堂まで徒歩5分程度で駅も同じくらいの距離。 女性1人でも用心しつつ歩ける治安(23時過ぎ)で 近所にはコンビニではないですが、飲み物とタバコが売ってる小さなお店もありました。 バーではないけれど、そこで飲んでる感じの良い人たちも居て、昼夜人通りがあって良かったです。 シャワーの水圧もバッチリでしたし、お湯が途切れることもなかった。部屋には湯沸かしポットは置いてますが水はありません。私は水は買いに行きました。冷蔵庫はあったと思います。 冬の滞在は問題ないでしょう。お勧めします。

それでも、定宿かな。
最初の朝食時、朝食がついていないので部屋にチャージする、と言われた。フロントに予約票を持って確認に行ったが、後で代理店に連絡してから変更するとのこと。すぐにでもできるのにとおもった。定宿にしてるけど、今回はちょっと残念。

駅やケルン大聖堂に近く、日曜のミサの見学や大聖堂の階段を登っての展望箇所へも早い時間から活動できる距離だったので、混雑もなく楽しめた。 クリスマスマーケットでは体が冷えた分サウナが完備されているので芯まで温まりリラックスできた。 朝食も美味しく、スタッフの気配りが行き届いていて快適に過ごせた。

ホテルは綺麗目なビジネスホテルといった感じで良かったのですが、ボーイの態度には大変ガッカリさせられました。従業員がこちらを見るや「ニーハオ」などと言われ、先進国の世界的に有名なホテルが取る行動とは思えません。従業員への教育をしっかりと徹底してもらえるといいです。

ケルン大聖堂が、すぐそこに。
オーストリアへの旅行でしたが、どうしてもケルン大聖堂が見たいと言う家族の要望で、ザルツブルグからケルンに向かいました。ホテルは大聖堂から徒歩数分。午後に見学、夕食後ライトアップされた大聖堂を見て、翌朝も大聖堂までお散歩できる立地のよさ。もちろん駅近。フロントの方の対応もとても良かったです。
