Lake Champlain getaway

Lovely, spacious home in a quiet lakeside neighborhood. Clean and well appointed. Perfect for our visit to the Burlington area. Just minute's from great hiking, biking and dining. And we loved watching the sunset over the lake from the front porch! Definitely recommend!

We loved our long weekend at Champs Landing! Everything about the house's location and layout was perfect for our trip to see our kid at UVM. There was extra room for them to hang out and sleep over with us, and a large fenced yard so we could also bring our dog securely. It was a beautiful 10 minute drive in to the old north end in Burlington, and it was also great for local outdoor recreation--it's right on the bike path that goes about 6 miles into Burlington, across the street from a wonderful large park, and has access to Lake Champlain, just a block down, for morning beach walks. The house was clean, comfortable, and has great furnishings plus a fully equipped kitchen and a fun basement with air hockey and darts. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time!

The house was super clean, in a quiet neighborhood and well-appointed with games, smart tvs, additional blankets and fans to keep warm or stay cool. The kitchen was well stocked with basic spices, equipment and utensils. The Island line trail is walking distance in both directions and offers great views and safe hike, bike or running trails. You could even go into Burlington on it! Additional helpful points worth noting:Coffee maker is a cuisinart with both a drip coffee maker and keurig. Both coffee options were provided. There’s a grocery store (Price Chopper) not far from the house.Take out the trash for pick up on Monday, even if you haven’t produced a lot of trash. We discovered the bin was almost full after the fact since guests are usually gone before trash day and new guests don’t think the bin should go out!Actually do make reservations for dinner in Burlington! We were surprised that everything was booked and not available on a Tuesday night in a slow season! This was quite possibly the best place we’ve ever stayed, and would definitely stay again if we’re in the area again. (It was perfect for our family with two teenagers but would also be great for up to 2 couples with 1-2 kids each. Babies might be fine there, but toddlers could be challenging with the basement stairs, wood stove fireplace and some more delicate furniture.)
