「Wonderful!! We had a hard time choosing where to stay and we feel we picked the perfect spot. The property was very clean, and the staff was AMAZING!! The kids really enjoyed the pool after spending a week in crowded cities and we loved walking through the vineyards with the beautiful views. We went to dinner at a recommended restaurant in nearby Lamego and it was perfect. We would highly recommend Casa da Azenha for a Douro Valley stay. 」

「If you come to visit the Douro because of the Port wine culture, then this property won't disappoint you. Five generations of viticulturalists have lovingly developed this beautiful Pousada over the centuries and as you go through the property, it oozes charm. We loved our spacious and beautifully appointed room, including generous breakfast. The in-house Port wine tasting included vintage, 40- and 60 year old ports and was truly insightful. Add a dinner with authentic dishes and a few walks...

「Extrem sauber, sehr nettes Personal mit ständiger Erreichbarkeit bei Fragen. Gute Lage mit einer Bushaltestelle in etwa 5 Minuten Laufnähe, Bolhao Market ist nach einer etwa 7 minütigen Busfahrt erreichbar. Leider extrem hellhörig. Vor allem Nachts hört man alles aus dem Stockwerk unten, dem Flur und vor allem alles aus dem Nachbarzimmer.」

「This is more like a hostel than a hotel. You're expected to make your own bed and keep your own room clean. However, it does provide a reasonable budget alternative to the upmarket river front hotels. 」
