「The owners were delightful and friendly and the quant Motel charming, they have really put a lot of effort into restoring this gem. The shower head and water pressure were wonderful the beds comfy and the check in process flawless. The location is great. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and very close to the kayaking tours. 「This hotel looks decent for the price from the outside. We checked in everything seemed fine in the lobby and hallways. Got to our room and the smell was so bad that after an hour and NOT going noise blind we left and thank goodness we found a new hotel for the night at 10pm.」

「One of the best mid-tier hotels I've stayed in in a long time! Hard to believe it is a Holiday Inn Express. They renovated in November 2025 and spared no expense. The pool and hot tub were huge and very nice. They had a commercial Costa coffee maker in the lobby. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and included a pancake maker! The rooms were nicely done. They had firm and soft pillows...loved the discrete labeling on the pillow cases. The view of Lake Superior from the breakfast room...

「Let’s start with the positives, Restaurant, Tracey’s was amazing, definitely best part of the stay. Inn was spotless. Some issues, breakfast was disappointing, very minimal. Bathroom for the cost was very small. Cable TV didn’t work. They were having issues with their cable. Bottom line, I didn’t believe the room and amenities was worth the cost per night.」
