"No wi-fi and no tv were two of the main perks. The dark skies and end of the road location were the main attraction. The nearby hiking trails and endless beauty were the surprise. The desert had just had rain so it was blooming everywhere (luck, not good timing) which added to the awe. The room was dated but clean and neat. Only disappointment was that the restaurant was being remodeled so the option was a food truck. AS someone who has lived nearly 40 years in Texas, I was surprised and...

"Our room at Big Bend station was greatly enjoyed, but there were a few odd things about it such as that the sheets smelled like mildew and there was something that looked a lot like blood smeared near the top of the door frame in the bathroom. There was also a small hole in the wall of the bathroom which was odd. But overall it was a good room, the check-in was easy even though we got there very late (they had a envelope with our key waiting), the staff was friendly, the location was wonderful, and the ac and water worked. We did have to ask for extra towels and there was no housekeeping while we were there"
