"An excellent, new hotel in a somewhat inconvenient location. 20mins walk to Seibu Chichibu Station and not much around the hotel. However it’s only about 10-15 mins to the shrine and old street. The hotel onsen was very good."

"An excellent hotel a few minutes walk from Seibu-Chichibu station which has both train and bus connections. Lots of dining and shopping options around including at the station itself. Easy walk to main areas including Chichibu Shrine. Ohanabatake station is also very near to visit other places such as Nagatoro. 7-Eleven and Family Mart close to hotel. Staff very helpful, rooms clean and good breakfast selection. Would definitely recommend."

Many shrines are also in the area and all are easy to walk to. Nipponia is an INCREDIBLE place to stay with every aspect exceeding my expectations. Hitsujiyama Park (羊山公園) in Chichibu has an amazing field of Shiba-zakura, or moss phlox. There are nine different types of moss phlox that cover over 17,000 sqm (4.3 acres) of the park. Not only is the scenery amazing, you can enjoy the sweet scent in the air as well! *They are usually in full bloom from late April to the first week of May. *The closest station is Yokoze Station or Seibu Chichibu Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line. There is an extremely steep hill on the way from Seibu Chichibu Station so if you're not up for that or have senior citizens in your party, definitely go from Yokoze Station. It's about 1.5 to 2hrs from Tokyo.
