This room is like an apartment, quite big. We loved the huge window and balcony: it makes room bright and gives a lot of fresh air.
Also, with installed air conditioner you can adjust the temperature at your liking.
The bed is big and comfortable. Everything is new and fresh.
Room was maybe the cleanest I have seen so far in Japan.
Staff is very kind and helpful. They have accommodated all our requests.
During the breakfast staff provided me detailed information on the contents of food. As a vegan, it's usually hard for me to find something to eat, but here staff really helped me out. Thank you. We will definitely stay again next time.

The wooden bath was amazing!😆
If you are not familiar with Japanese-style inn, I recommend you bring an eye mask though. The rooms don't have curtains. Isnstead, they have shoji-paper sliding wall for windows which let the light in so the room may get quite bright in the morning,

Our stay at Ruokan Hiyoshi was the highlight of our day trip to Chichibu. It's about 7 min walk from the Seibu-Chichibu station, and 20 min walk to the Chichibu Shrine.The guesthouse was very clean, the amenities were excellent, and the owner was extremely accommodating and friendly! 2 of us in the group do not eat meat, and there was just NO vegan option at any restaurant, which was very sad, but you can find few (double check the ingredients) at the convenient stores (e.g. 7eleven, family mart). Unfortunately, we went a bit early in spring, so there were no flowers blooming yet :( overall, I would stay at Ryokan Hiyoshi again!
