"A nice place and a great location. Unfortunately the Internet quality was sporadic so I was unable to keep up with work."

"Air Venice and the ocean front suite we booked was most certainly not in the condition as advertised. Dirty lobby and messy reception area, worn furniture and window coverings in our room in need of replacement, stained bathroom grout in the shower. Extremely loud outside our room with a restaurant and patio bar right across the street. We left the hotel right after checking in and didn’t go back. The hotel management refused to refund our pre-paid weekend booking. Terrible service. Not recommended. "

"The Viceroy was perfect in every way! The staff were very friendly and always eager to help and the amenities were exceptional. The room was very clean and had a great view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend the Viceroy to anyone visiting Santa Monica!"

"Hotel was nice. Neighborhood felt sketchy. Scruffy people around, some homeless people sleeping on the beach. Noisy during the day from the music being played on the beach. Bed was comfortable. Nespresso coffee was a nice addition. "

"I had an interior room of the courtyard. The metered parking was always available and right by my entrance gate so that was very convenient. The room itself was very clean, nicely updated and very secure. The exterior of the property could use some attention....paint handrails, spruce up the outside. Proximity to the ocean......amazing. Price seems high for this property."

"The hotel is relatively basic, it doesnt have air con and when we checked in the heating was on in the room which was unbearable. We checked in late and it was easy enough but we were told to be careful with key cards near phones as they could demagnetise. Reception is meant to be open until midnight but at least twice we came back at 11pm and it was already closed, fortunately our key cards worked or I'm not sure what we would have done! The area around the hotel is fine during the day but its sketchy at night, I wouldn't advise walking around in the dark. The walls are thin and you can hear everything next door, upstairs, in the corridor etc"
