Good location and comfortable stay, but some downs

The hotel is in a good spot, just steps from the beach and 5min walk to busy. Loungers were available right on the sand — a definite highlight. The room was clean, spacious, and fit four people comfortably with two double beds. Having a parking spot included was also a big plus. However, we didn’t have hot water in the shower during our stay, which was quite inconvenient. The staff seemed fairly uninterested and weren’t very attentive to guests. Also, loud music played every day from around 8 AM to 10 PM, which made it hard to relax at times. It’s a nice place overall, especially for the location, but there’s room for improvement.

The entrance is dirty! The parking lot gives a terrinle image of what the hotel is going to look like. Evwn being only soil, it can be clean. The outer facade has a flaf of the hotel that looks super old and ugly, it literally gives the i.pression of a cheap hotel. My brother passed by and didn't want to stau in it because of the look. The entrance stairs are painted with a paint that shows the soil of all the shoes, it looks dirty, with a nice facade, well painted you would make it look sooo different. This is a nice hotel that with a little little love would be amaaazing!!! The sargazo smell is horrible... we loooved how spacious our room was!!!!!!the terrace it has to the malecon is amaaaazing!!!!! It was clean, though the bathroom can have some improvements, just by painting the wall would make it look cleaner. The shower also needs some detailing. The music at night is reaaly good! I loved listening pop mexican music such as Luis Miguel and Enrique Iglesias. I stayed down for hours! Loved it! It is very well located! I couldn't have breakfast since we went on a dive trip and the breakfast starts very late.. it should start at 7.. The pool is only a big jacuzzi but it is not clean. You can make a beautiful rooftop there! You have the place to make it. The view of the hotel is amaaaazing. We enjoyed opening the terrace and looking at the ocean! The staf was super nice, specially Montserrat.. all of them..Overall we enjoyed very much our stay!

Definitely NOT a hotel! More like a hostel. Staff terrible, don’t think they have ever been trained in hospitality and customer service. Food was diabolical , we had a top room. Off-colour sheets, no blanket, no coffee/tea facilities, no fridge, felt sorry for restaurant staff. Don’t think there was a proper chef :( Hotel was very noisy, you hear every step on the stairs, every child, every bang of a door, bed comfort was ok. Little piece of soap only in bathroom, didn’t change towels, it was all v poor and expensive for what it was ! Felt sorry for the one man room cleaner so left a small tip. The English speaking staff lady was pleasant.

There were some aesthetic issues: paint job, rusting metal lamps etc. There was humidity on the ceiling from a leak and the smell of sewage in the bathroom is very strong. These all take away from the comfort. For the price, this should not be.

I booked 2 rooms 2 months in advance. I immediately noticed that I booked 1 night too many, and asked to modify the reservation by 1 night less. They said the room was pre-paid and non-refundable. When I said I made the reservation 3 hours ago and just made a mistake, they hung up on me. In my opinion this is thievery, and an unacceptable procedure. We go to Mahahual every year, and I will never stay there again.

Our stay here was ok. It is what you would expect for the price you pay here. The staff were friendly, but not super helpful. We asked for some drinking glasses as there were none provided in the room, and the staff were uncomfortably reluctant to give us the glasses, suggesting we drink from bottles only. There were no fridges in the rooms, so we instead needed to buy ice down the road to cool our bottles of wine in the sink. The restaurant looked ok, but found it a little bit strange that the only people seems to be using it was the staff themselves eating infront of all the guests, and celebrating what seemed to be a birthday. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. All in all an ok stay. Mahahual does have a seaweed problem at certain times of the year, which is unfortunate but can’t be helped.

La habitación puede mejorar mucho, ponerle la puerta que le falta a la regadera, dar mantenimiento a la puerta del balcón, está extremadamente dura. Un extractor de aire en el baño. No me dejaron papel higiénico y tuve que pedirlo. No recogían los trastes del club de playa. Tampoco te ofrecían algo en el club de playa, tenías que pedir las cosas en el restaurante. Lo que está a su favor es la ubicación, 10/10.

Cuando llegamos al hotel, estaba lloviendo y los alrededores están muy lodoso y la palapa de recepción tenia fugas, entonces no es muy cómodo el check in. para estacionarme, tuve que ponerlo donde pude, porque estacionamiento muy claro, no hay. El chico que nos recibió no era muy accesible, comentaron que era nuevo. Nos comentó que no podemos meter comida ni agua al cuarto, lo cual no me gustó porque ni botellas de agua había de cortesía. Sin embargo, al otro día los chicos del restaurante y del hotel, estaban con otra actitud, muy amables y serviciales. Excelente servicio de ellos. Nos ayudaron para el paseo en lancha y nos llevaron a la lancha. También, la salida fue muy rápida y accesible.

El hotel para una corta estancia es bueno, si tu búsqueda es por precio es el mejor, si estás acostumbrado a tener servicio a la habitación no es la opción. La ubicación es excelente. Le falta mantenimiento pero está limpio. Es un hotel modesto, el personal es amable pero distraídos.
