"Hotel undergoing renovations after being a former asylum hotel. This was not clear at the time of booking. Outside the hotel is like a building site. Grounds not maintained. No restaurant or bar open even though stated available so relied on the local Coop for food and beverage. No lift so had to carry my case to the third floor. Stairs had bits of chip board on them hence no cleaning for 3 days. Faint smell of smoke throughout. Marked hand towel... query dirty. No AC so had to rely on portable...

"A few things didn't work. The kettle didn't work, the windows didn't shut properly ( cold and lots of road noise), the bedroom radiator stayed cold and the bath water never got warm. There were lots of chemical plug ins and chemical reed diffusers which were very strong and I felt quite sick. "

"We (3) stayed here while carrying out work locally.The apartment was clean, cosy and everything we needed. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the local area, we just knew the way to work sit and back and there was plenty of takeaways and supermarkets along the way. There is no cooking facilities so this is useful.All round spot on place. Would stay again if in the area. 100%"
