Chefchaouen's powder blue buildings mirror the cloudless Moroccan sky - but religious rather than stylistic reasons are behind the design choice. Jewish teachings suggest that by dyeing thread with tekhelel (an ancient natural dye) and weaving it into prayer shawls, people would be reminded of God's power. The tradition lives on in the regularly repainted blue buildings.

The walls are adorned with carpets, purses, blankets, paintings and much more. It was quite an adventure to get lost in the tiny lanes and alleys and discover the many berber shops and products.

「Nestled into a great location on the hillside of Chefchaouen’s beautiful blue Medina, this Riad is a hidden gem. Staff were extremely helpful, the rooms and decor were modern and unique but also felt very Moroccan. Everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and I only wish we’d had more time in the city to enjoy dinner at their restaurant or relax and take in the stunning view from their rooftop patio. 「Amazing. The hotel representative walked to the drop off area meeting our car upon arrival. He then walked us to the hotel to check in. The room itself was beautiful with a lovely view of Chefchaouen. The entire staff was wonderful, the location was right in the middle of the Medina, the bed was comfortable and we had a wonderful time. 「文句なく非常に綺麗でした。ディナー、朝食も非常に満足です。タクシーで付近までは行けますが、3分ほど徒歩で上がる必要があります。ロータリーに重い荷物を運んでチップを求めてくるおじさんがいるので要注意です。私たちの場合は重いスーツケース2つを運んでもらい150MADを払ったので、考え方次第では良い値段です。」
