The house is right on the beach and convenient for day trips to Charleston. The house itself is not modern or updated, but does provide the essentials needed for a decent stay.

We liked being closed to the ocean and the neighborhood. The house was perfect for the 3 of us. Our only issue was lack of wifi - apparently a AT&T problem that was not resolved during our stay. Oh yes and the weather. Lots of rain but guess we can't expect the property to fix that.

We arrived and were charmed instantly. The Folly Beach area is relaxing and laid back. The swing allowed us to enjoy the ocean breeze and the surfers, all without leaving the property. The adjoining beach access is lovely and provided a shady stroll to the ocean strand. The house itself was perfect for us. We felt instantly at home away from home. We just had two people (1 couple) but it would fit 4 just fine. Great decks looking out to an expansive beach. We were off season (End of Nov) so it was very quiet and peaceful. TV was a bit hard to figure out and some windows didn't lock, but we felt very safe.

This house was a real gem. It could use a few updates here and there but it had rustic charm and an amazing location. We spent most of our time on the huge deck overlooking the ocean and watching happy surfers. The beds were super comfortable and it was perfect for our girls weekend. I appreciated the level of communication and ease of check in and out. We would definitely come back here again!

The house is charming and located in a great neighborhood. The view from the back deck is amazing - your own private beach front view! Comfy bed, hot water, good cool AC, and WiFi. It’s a short 5 min drive to downtown Folly where the shops and restaurants are. Do not hesitate to book this property. It’s wonderful.

Maybe it’s due to the hurricane winds, but we found the windows and sill above windows leaked during the rain storm in the master bedroom and living room, leaving the carpet wet/damp. Little red ants/bugs were in the master bedroom. Additionally there was dust clumps on the bed, side closest to the dresser. It’s unfortunate because the outside space is great

My best friend and I go to Folly every other year and we always stay here. It’s not the prettiest house on E. Ashley and it wouldn’t take much to refit the bathrooms and update the fixtures, furnishings and decor. But you don’t go to the beach to stay inside and we’ve always overlooked it, mainly because it has THE BEST DECK! Surrounded by foliage and flora, it’s nestled within the [protected] dune with an unobstructed view of the beach/ocean perfect for laying out all day and incredible stargazing at night. Secured access to beach directly from the deck would be great but one can hardly complain when the public boardwalk is right next to it. This was our third trip and there will definitely be a fourth.

This was the cleanest, most well-stocked rental we've ever stayed in! Super impressed with the kitchen and bathrooms, in particular. We had everything we needed in the house and more. Be sure to bring beach gear; whatever was available had disappeared by our stay. Will definitely book again!

It’s a very cute house with a great view and easy access to the beach. It is also only a 25 minute drive to downtown Charleston. We really loved staying here. The only feedback I have is that it could be updated with a washer/dryer. I Would recommend this place

Enjoyed our time here relaxing. The deck was great to sun on and still have the Ocean feel to it, as there were so many surfers that you really couldn’t get in the water. A few boards on the deck need to be replaced, and the grill legs are rusted and needs to be replaced. Other than that we enjoyed our stay here and will consider it if we go back to Folly Beach.

Nice stay/ the home needs a lot of updating. We stay in Folly 5-6 times a year and love switching it up every time and this one unfortunately missed the mark on several things 1- the A/C needs to be completely upgraded. As much as we were mindful of keeping doors shut, it just stayed at 77-78. By the amount of fans in closet, I’m guessing this isn’t the first time hearing it (ironically our brand new HVAC unit was having issues the week we came so I did not reach out to owners because I was tired of dealing with repairs and didn’t feel like dealing with it on vacation. I will say leading up and during the stay they were very responsive and communication was zero problem so i am sure it may have gotten looked at on the trip, we just didn’t feel like dealing with that) 2 - make sure to read the home description to this is no beach access from the front. I highly do not recommend young kids here if you are taking wagons/etc to the beach. While the access is beside the home, it is stairs going up and stairs going down. Kind of defeated the oceanfront home to be honest - but we did know there wasn’t an access going into the trip. Just a heads up. This is ALSO surf beach/ so tons of surfers at this beach access all.day! 3 - even though the home is very dated, the house cleaners I could tell do an excellent job at keeping it clean and tidy in between guests & has just about all you need there 4- I would brighten the exterior up! Let it feel like a beach home when you pull in!

The location of this property is excellent! Right next to the public access, requiring you to go around the front of the house and next door, easy peasy. the deck out the back is also a plus to the experience As a beach house this place is excellent; no fuss, no muss, meaning a little dated but enjoyable. Plenty of parking and all the comforts of home
