We've stayed here many times. It's a great place for a easy in and out stop on the way to Norfolk Virginia. The owner is very kind, friendly and helpful.

Very clean room, comfortable bed, quiet and felt safe. Could use some minor cosmetic work in my room but nothing that would stop me from staying here again. Very affordable.

This is a great place if you just need a less expensive place to spend the night. It was clean and neat with fridge and microwave, no coffee maker, no frills, but also property that didn't seem to be falling apart even if it wasn't superbly decorated. No litter in the parking lot or vicinity, just crisp and clean inside and out. It is an older Motel but the rooms seem well maintained. The bathroom was very nice and clean with newer tile and sink area and a nice shower. It also bordered on the Kanawha River and that was such a very pretty setting for an inexpensive motel!

Quite charming river view in quiet location. This is an older property but adequately and simply refurbished. Toiletries are minimal but serviceable and minifridge and microwave in good working order. For a single traveller who wants to save money, this motel is a good choice.

Only redeeming factors were it was cheap and the locking mechanism on the door functioned. Entomologists dream hotel, finish your doctorate dissertation on roaches here. Staff was polite but the only time they were seen was during checkin. Proximity to downtown was also a plus considering I tried my hardest to NOT be in the room I rented.

We just need a one night stay and found this hotel. Check in was super easy but I felt bad because we checked in really late. The host didn't seem like it was a big deal at all. I wish I would have gotten his name but I was half asleep when we finally got there. The hotel is a little dated but the bed was so comfortable. Everything was clean and even though we were next to a busy highway, it was really quiet. We would definitely stay here again. And the view of the river was a nice touch too. Great hotel!

Sheets and towels each had several obvious stains. We slept on our own sleeping bag and towels to avoid direct contact. Had to turn off the AC to sleep because it was so loud, but then we all woke up sweaty and hot. We chose it due to the decent reviews for a budget hotel, but we’ll learn our lesson and stay away from budget options going forward.
