9/10 Wonderful! (1,398 reviews)
The staff told me when I arrived that their policy is to let them know if you want your room cleaned. I told them immediately I did at noon daily. They never cleaned my room over a 3 night stay. I texted to ask them to do so and they said they acted as if I did not ask them to clean the room at check in and said they had only two cleaning people for the property. They never cleaned the room or got back to me. They also have this confusing “tassel” instead of a standard card on the door that usually says “privacy”, “clean my room” etc. Apparently the tassel means privacy. It seems the confusion behind the tassel is part of their scheme to skimp on cleaning rooms. Very disappointing and definitely not a luxury experience.

This is my second time staying at The Maven and they once again didn’t disappoint. Hotel and rooms are creatively decorated with a boutique feel. The staff are all incredibly accommodating and helpful. The front desk was particularly wonderful with helping us get the most out of the hotel’s services and finding local recommendations. We will be back.

"The rooms are a bit dated… our toilet ran unless jiggled. There are hills and steps so need to be fit. But it was a very nice rustic resort with great pools tennis etc…"
