Lakefront Log Cabin with modern feel located directly on the 1,900-acre Paradise Lake. This all-season cabin has a wood burning fireplace which anchors the open concept living room and kitchen that leads to a spacious sunroom. The two bedrooms include multiple beds. Bathroom is small but has been recently remodeled. Cabin has Michigan sourced artwork, an air-fryer, record player and a selection of books and board games. Only 10 minutes from Wilderness National Park, the Dark Park, and Mackinac City/Bridge. Hit the slopes at Boyne Highlands and/or Nubs Nob (35 minutes) or take advantage of multiple snow mobile and mountain biking trails.

The cabin was very cozy and located on a beautiful lakefront just 10 minutes south of Mackinaw City. Great lakeside amenities, spacious enclosed patio, and interesting artwork throughout. Blustery weather kept us from using the lakefront seating area during our stay but overall the cabin was perfect for everything else we did that weekend.

Nice stay

The atmosphere and view is beautiful and just what we were looking for. We fished a little off the dock and watched the sunset every evening. Mosquitos are horrible, and bug spray offered very little protection. We did experience a rather large hiccup during our stay that was quite an inconvenience for us. However, this was out of Gary’s control, and he did everything within his power to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Communication with Gary was good, and he was always quick to respond. With that said, the cleanliness of the cabin is certainly not kept up on. I wouldn’t expect it to be spotless due to it’s location (dust, gravel, etc). It simply just does not look like much cleaning is done. First day I was barefoot inside, and there was so much dirt on the kitchen floor, sweeping was necessary. There was no detergent to wash the towels as requested. Salt is not kept in the softner, so hard water. This kept me from washing my hair & utilizing the washer. Saw 3 roaches. The setup of the cabin is not designed for comfort. There are no tables or dressers in either room where items could be sat vs throwing everything on the dirty floor. Furniture on patio is not comfortable. Couldn’t imagine attempting to sit on any of it if we were on the larger size. The contemporary look kills the cabin vibe. Like trying to bring big city to rural area. If we were to visit the area again, would explore other options on the lake.

Great location and lovely setting. This was a well stocked cabin with all the necessary items to make for a comfortable stay. Very easy access to area attractions, a great home base for day trip travels. Being directly on the water was a super peaceful place to have coffee in the morning and lay on the dock at night to sky watch.

Nice stay

Stayed here again and it was just as good as the first time. It was during a heat advisory so it was hot but that’s no one’s fault. I would advise if you come when it is really hot to bring your own fans. Only because the air was so warm we had an issue sleeping because there was no a/c only fans. We used 3 of our own fans with all the other fans on and it was still hard to sleep at night. We ended up leaving a day early due to it but that was 100% our choice and due to the weather. Nothing to do with this cabin. We would still stay here again but next time bring our portable a/c machine with us.

Everything was cute and welcoming. Very clean. The only thing we missed was a tea kettle for making tea. Other than that it was a good stay!

Overall our stay was very nice. All the ameneties listed were there. Cabin was for the most part clean. There are a couple things that need repair/attention but those things did not significantly impact our stay.

Lakefront cabin

This was a beautiful stay for my family and I. We were in town for a couple days to visit Mackinac Island. The cabin was spacious and clean. My dad an I also enjoyed the opportunity to take the kayaks out on the lake. Would stay here again.

The property is lovely and would be great for a sunnier beach weekend. Did not get a chance to take advantage of many of the amenities due to the weather, but that’s Michigan for you. Things were a bit worn, torn, and dusty in some places, but that’s pretty standard for a cabin in the spring.

Fall Getaway

Took the family up north to explore the nearby forests with the autumn colors on full display.... Great location right on the lake, restaurants closeby in Mackinac City, and short drive to Wilderness Park and the Tunnel of Trees. WiFi was recently installed which was great but cell service also very good in the area. We will be back!

Needs more comfortable seating

The contemporary feel is nice and all but the furniture was not comfortable at all. Which resulted in spending very little time in the living room area. Definitely would recommend getting some recliners or something. Other than that the cabin would have gotten 5 stars
