"Breakfast didn’t taste very fresh"

"Radiators in the room must have been for decoration, there was no heating on a freezing cold night, owners must have known this because on arrival we were handed a tiny fan heater, which made little difference in a big room. Toilet wasnt clean, bathroom light didnt work initially, towels weren't provided until I went to reception and asked for them, bed was uncomfortable. Genuinely glad I didn't pay a huge amount for the room because it is one of the worst stays I've had. Only 2 stars instead of 1 because the shower was actually warm, the TV worked and the room was quiet despite its location. "

"The room was very comfortable, very cozy and warm despite my late arrival. Bed was very comfortable, didn’t take the breakfast due to leaving on successive early morning starts but Steve the my host was excellent by substituting a substantial Packed Lunch on both days including drink and fruit each day so would I recommend to others? Yes of course and would happily stay again next time I am in the area."
