"The management team was horrible. My grandson and i played in the pool ( which was dirty ) with a nerf football alll afternoon with no problems. We attempted to go back around 6pm with the same nerf football and we were told that it wasnt allowed....there was no signs specifically addressing this issue. I spoke to the GM as well and he was worthless....he was in such a hurry to leave the property that he didnt even give me a good reason that a ball couldnt be tossed in the pool. He pointed to a sign that he thought would back him up but of course it didnt......poor management....the worst Doubletree i ever stayed at. The property was old and dirty"

"This hotel is newly redecorated and pretty clean and smells good. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There's a convenient Metro bus stop less than a half a block away that can take you straight to the Metro subways taking you into DC so that's a good thing. A couple small negatives to consider, the breakfast is the same thing every single morning with no fresh fruit or anything other than egg pucks and bread products. While the hotel itself is nice, the neighborhood is not one that you should walk around in at night and there's no restaurants other than fast food that you can walk to nearby. "

"Fairfield is a very comfortable great hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and well designed with necessary appliances (fridge, microwave, iron with table). It’s a safe area near police department and well located near fast foods. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the window curtain connecting outside was transparent. There isn’t a second curtain covering it as its stops only on the edges. Staff is very courteous, respectful, kind and professional. Thank you very much to Mr. Shawn for kindly checking us in and Mr. Chris for kindly checking us out. thanks The deposit is lower than the other hotels near by. The breakfast is very delicious "

"What a great find!! This carriage house was perfect for the 4 of us adults. Very clean, very new, really well appointed. Excellent communication. The parking spot was really appreciated. Safe neighborhood. Good location for where we needed to go. Would definitely stay here again."

"There is only one elevator and it is so small it barely fits a luggage cart with two people. They were having problems with their heat/AC and our room was 80 degrees the whole time. It is in a sketchy neighborhood area but relatively easy to get in and out. "
