"The house was spacious, clean, and just steps from the beach. It had plenty of room for our group, and with great common areas to hang out. The host was friendly and responsive. Ideal spot for a relaxing group vacation!"

"We had a lovely stay at Shearwater, it's a beautiful property and is well fitted out with everything you need. Safe and fun for kids, too, with a fence on the stairs and toys that our toddler loved rummaging in. We loved the area and want to go back because there is so much to see. The house was a bit more drive in and out, but probably more accessible walking if you're with mostly adults or older kids. We were there in winter so a lot was closed for the season, but we didn't mind, we were looking for a getaway and lots of puzzles and Catan rounds by the fire were enjoyed after windy beach walks. Thank you for having us!"

"The location and the views are incredible, and the house itself is OK, but quite honestly the owner needs to lift the standard of maintenance particularly of the verandah and the furnishings. It doesn't need to be beautiful, but the safety panes on the verandah are loose and feel unsafe, the living room had two broken armchairs whose backs flopped down if you moved them away from the wall, there was a broken blind in the middle of the windows overlooking the main view, and the table and chairs outside on the verandah are so old they gave us splinters. I think removing old broken furniture and providing an outdoor setting that doesn't cause injury is basic standards that should be upheld regardless of cost, but at this price it feels like a bit of a joke. Plus, I wouldn't feel comfortable having small children on the verandah with the state of the safety panes. Come on people, do right by your visitors - a few small improvements would make a really big difference! "

"Nice little A shaped house in quiet, tranquil setting. Had everything we needed although felt it could have done with a few extra homely touches such as a nice bbq or fire pit for the deck to utilise that lovely deck and view a."
