Lion Cottage is a beautifully restored 1840s cottage nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Patrixbourne, near Canterbury. Once part of the Bifrons Estate, it offers direct access to peaceful parkland and scenic countryside walks, with charming local pubs and eateries nearby—including the Michelin-starred Bridge Arms and The Pig at Bridge.

The surrounding area is rich in history, walking and cycling routes, and close to the coast, with easy access to Canterbury, Whitstable, Dover, and London.

Owned by artist Ben Mowll and his wife Jane, an art historian and linguist, the cottage is decorated with original artwork and thoughtfully appointed throughout. It sleeps up to 3 guests across 2 bedrooms, with a king bed in one and a single/daybed in the other (convertible on request). The cottage has a cosy sitting room with a wood-burning stove, a well-equipped kitchen, a shared bathroom, central heating, Wi-Fi, and a pretty garden with seating.

Ideal for couples, friends, or a small family (child aged 8+), the property is not suitable for young children or guests with mobility issues due to steps and a narrow staircase.

A private parking space is included, and the Bekesbourne train station is just a 10-minute walk away.
