"This lake cottage is a gem with spectacular views of the lakeshore from sun up to sun down. The Cana Island Lighthouse is also visible and only a 1/2 mile walk down the road. We explored the lakeshore out front, hoping for a beach, but it is mostly rocky. The sound of waves crashing through opened windows overnight brought a welcomed calm. If you're seeking a beach, there's one nearby at Cana Island or Moonlight Bay. The yard made for a great space to walk our dog and he also enjoyed watching the waves and birds. Thanks for making rental this pet-friendly. We were pleasantly surprised by the air mattresses attached to the pull-out couches, sleeping was comfortable for our brief stay. One helpful tip for enjoying this rental - bring your own drinking water. The tap water has a strong iron taste and odor. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, cooking pans and coffee maker. If you're looking for a place on the lake to getaway and relax, this quaint and cozy cottage is the one!"

"The house worked perfectly for our family, was a great place to stay and get ready for our adventures each day. We cooked most of our meals there, which was pleasant so we weren't constantly eating out. We spent time outside the house too as it was so beautiful to see and hear the water daily."
Charming Cottage

"This cute cottage was better than we expected. We have stayed in many VRBOs and I had come to the conclusion that most owners just "phone it in" in terms of decorating, cleaning, etc. Not so with this cottage. It was spotless inside and out. The landscaping is phenomenal. The decorating is understated and not cliche' at all. I can't recommend the cabin enough. My husband dropped something on the floor in the bedroom and had to look under the bed while looking for it and even under the bed was spotless. We drank our coffee outside each morning and were able to hear a barred owl. It was so quiet and peaceful. We had never been to Door County but watched an Andrew Zimmern show about it so decided to go. It is a little known gem, at least in Virginia no one had heard of it. We hiked, we went out to Washington Island and rode bikes, we walked the cute little towns and shopped, and we ate delicious food. It started getting crowded in the towns on Friday before we left but it was Labor Day weekend. We cannot wait to come back and see even more. Would definitely stay in this cottage again."
